I live quite near Winchester and visit is regularly. A wonderful City, lots of culture from medieval times and good shops, restaurants and cafes. River Itchen is in the water meadows, quiet and tranquil work, with an excellent inn nearby The Bishop on the Bridge, good food and atmosphere. The cathederal is a must and the crypt must be visited.
