I have lived in Nottingham pretty much all my life, and reading some of these reviews give a very bias view of the city.

I would say Nottingham is a mix of all different cities, which is what you would expect, being as the city is pretty much central England.

Be Very carefull in this city .
It`s renowned for it`s drug dealers and gunfights which has earned it the dubious title of gun city UK .
As a visitor you are normally quite safe but don`t take any chances especially at night .
I personally would go to somewhere else nearby such as Derby or Leicester .

My wife and I enjoyed the history, folklore and magic! We walked the paths of Robin Hoood and his merry men. The local folk were very helpful and friendly. If you are into English mythology and history it is the place for you!

Great night life,good transport but the citys high crime rate is ever present and it can be a little un nerveing.

Nottingham has every thing Live music in clubs ,pubs and bars / + sport / + women , I live there and its Great , would not live anywhere else .
Recommend a visit to the Ice arena and take in a Nottingham Panthers V sheffield steelers Ice hockey match .
Cheap flights to and from many destinations direct into nottingham eastmidlands airport .
Recomend to stay at the Ice house apartments for a couple of nights .
