  • BREATHTAKING
    By Anna I, 06/07/08
The first thing that I have to say is that people who enjoy looking at architecture and getting to feel how romantical and historical a place is they will love this city. I lived their until I was 14 and when I moved to the US. And boy let me tell u its very different. In Lviv(not Lvov) u can find a place that lets you escape from the rest of the ...

  • Welcome to L'viv!!!
    By Maryana D, 05/22/08
I liked this city since a moment of my bearth here. L'viv is one of the oldest places in Ukraine, founded in 1256,and its historical part is included in the "World Heritage List" of UNESCO. Because L'viv saves its medieval atmoshere on the Rynok square(historical centre)and near-by streets, has many attractive ...

Lviv has it's own soul it's own atmosphere..
    You'll never forget it.
I call it "city with the personality and history".
Less expensive than Kiev(capital of Ukraine) but offers lot's of enterteinment.

Lived there for 1 year. Fantastic, safe, beautiful, historic.
Highly recommend. Our whole family c/w children. I will return some day without question.\

Markets fantastic, outdoor garage sales every where. People were very friendly. Must understand Ukrainians are a little abrupt, but that is cultural.

  • The best city in Ukraine
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/28/06
I was born in Lviv and I really love and miss this beautiful city. It is truly one of the best cities and the whole Ukraine, even comparing to Kiev. And yes, it is definitely Lviv, and not Lvov how it's usually misspelled everywhere.

Lviv is over 750 years old so it's a very old and historically rich city. The architecture is ...

  • Just Lviv
    By Michael, 02/09/06
Yes, Lviv is beautiful, especially, in early October, when a yellow-red colour of cool rarely sunny in this place days marks a season change followed with the persistent raining ushering into rather wet than snowy and cold winter lasting to April.

Definitely, a currency and plastic cards holders could indefinitely enjoy hospitability of ...

  • 2 yrs. in L'viv...it's a cool place
    By Nathan, 01/28/06
After spending two years in L'viv as a Peace Corps volunteer, I can definitely say that this is one of the greatest relatively undiscovered gems in Eastern Europe. Try finding another place you can relax in a sidewalk cafe in a UNESCO heritage site and sip a $1 1/2 liter beer. As Peace Corps volunteers, we used to complain about that ...
