Tahiti and the islands are very beautiful but prices are very high in comparison to other parts of the world. We stayed at the International Beachcomber, our room was very nice, over the water and houskeeping did a great job. Tahiti is a place that awakens the senses. . . It has places of culture ranging from the Paul Gaugain museum, (which is a must see destination) to the ancient "mare' s".- which are worship sites. The tropical paradise of abundant flowers and and trees will enchant everyone.
On the Island of Moorea be sure to visit Mt. Belvedere ...
We actually stayed at one of the nicer hotels. The bottom of their swimming pool was sand. We stayed in a room on the water. Perfect to fall asleep to. Very expensive to eat. Took a ferry to Moorea and that was even more beautiful. Went snorkeling and saw some amazing fish! The weather was great and the pineapple fields smelled heavenly.

Very friendly people, beautiful beaches. Great for anytime of the year, they have excellent weather, sunny all the time. Great for surfers.
