Huahine te fenua nehenehe, Huahine the beautiful island....Don't expect fancy , but enjoy true polynesian way of life.
Enjoy local food, visit the marae.. the eels in faie, the vanilla plantations.. the pearl farm and so much more and yet relax and enjoy you are on an island.
Wonderful scuba diving.

Huahine is uncrowded and semi-primitive Polynesian beautyI stayed at the Sofitel on Huahine as part of my 8 island French Polynesia vacation in September of 2004. If you're looking to "get away", Huahine is a good choice. I found it to be the "sleepiest", most laid back of the Society Islands, except perhaps for Maupiti.
