i went there with my friends...all the way to palmyra was an incredible desert...and when you get there you pass a hill and after that the ruins appear to you from far away. i really can not forget that day..and everyday i review the photos i took there. you can visit the ruins,the temple of god bel,the tombs,the museum and end your day in the castle of the maanie the 2nd.. you should see palmyra..and this summer i am going there again.

villa palmera hotel in palmyra , good for budget family trips
it was a clean hotel , near the ruins , not much of a breakfast , but the extra bedoian tent night worth it, it is best visited in jan , feb , and march , cause it tends to be hot after that , and you may expect some sand storms

wounderful place, full of history, emotions and spectacular views. It realy deservs it's nickname: THE PEARL OF THE DESERT. It's the Kingdom/City that defieted the Romans in the 3rd century under the leadership of the queen Zenobia...
