Zermatt is a great little car free town at the base of the famed Matterhorn. It is a wonderful place to visit with great restaurants, friendly locals, and breathtaking views. The hiking is great. The local tourist office has maps available.

Zermatt......oh, how we love it. It it a beautiful quaint town nestled in the Alps. All of the hotels are up to the swiss standards but also slightly pricey. The skiing is great and very scenic. Wonderful dinners after very busy days. It is a little bit out of the way and takes a while to get there but if you are in no hurry it is definitely worth the trip. Nice wide open runs for skiing make this one of our favorites.
