I only experienced a one-day trip to Luzern when I was staying in Switzerland. This city is very very beautiful with typical Swiss scenery. The Pilatus is really wonderful with excellent scenery as well.
The thing that I don't like is everything is really expensive. I even could think twice to just buy a snack.
Generally I love Switzerland very much and I really feel home here.
Crystal blue waters, swans flanking the shores, yachts lined up along the dock- expect some the stuff of girlhood dreams if you venture to Lucerne! The friendly locals with their lilting accents are always obliging and will set you on your way for a good deal. Lucernce may be romantic, but it can dig into your wallet, so come prepared with plenty ...
If you were asked to imagine an inconic Swiss town, Lucerne would be that place. Zurich is riddled with urban international skyscraper banks. Geneva is beautiful, but on the margins of Switzerland. Bern comes in a close second. but what differentiates Lucerne is that it has been a resort and tourist attraction for 200 years. The first World's ...
It's such a beautiful place to visit. The people are friedly and most welcoming. You can also take a lake steamer to the foot of nearby Mount Pilatus and then the world’s steepest cogwheel railway up the mountain for a terrific lake and mountain-top view. Have lunch or dinner there and then enjoy a gondola ride back down for a bus back to Lucerne.
I simply loved Lucerne. I have visited this city 3 times since 1986. I even stayed here on my honeymoon in 1989. There is a "schloss" hotel on the hill overlooking the town called The Chateau Guetsch. If you want a romantic getaway in Switzerland, this is the place. The town of Lucerne is a feast for the eyes. Around every turn is ...
It isnt difficult to bepartial toward Switzerland. Its quite easy to be enveloped by its charm and centrality. In fact Switzerland is known throughout the world for its neutrality, not isolation. Its a compact country with a well balanced composition and shares its status among three cultural conglomerates,German,French and Italian. All three ...
Lucerne is one of the most beautiful towns that I have ever encountered. I visited Lucerne while on my grand tour of Europe while visiting my sister at the University of London. Our stay in Lucerne was for only one night and I assumed it wouldn't be anything great. I was wrong. Sitting by the lake on a midsummer's night and watching the ...
There was nothing to dislike. There was just not enough time to do and see everything we would have wanded to see and do. The lakes are beautiful, to try to discribe Mt. Titlis, well it can't be done. I felt like a child with my 1st snowfall, 1st climb to anywhere. I never believed I would have the nerve to get to the top! I did and I ...
