We spent 2 weeks this past summer in Kandersteg. Enjoyed every moment. Lots of hiking possibilities. Beautiful setting. Since it's on the main train line, going places is quite easy. Bern is a one hour ride away. Or go through the Loetschberg tunnel and be in Italy in a few hours.
