  • Seeing the Fallas is a MUST
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 04/17/07
I had gone to Valencia before, visited La Plaza de La virgen, el miguelete, eaten paella, swam in the Mediterranean. Evgerything was great. But everyone said, You have to see Las Fallas!" Man, am I glad I did. They are in mid March and are the most amazingly, insanely wonderful party you could ever experience! They have some streets ...

  • I love Gandia
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 04/04/07
Gandia is 1 hour south of Valencia on the coast. It's still an undiscovered part of Spain - in that it's not over run with English and as long as you take your phrase book you'll be fine.

Wonderful beaches, reasonable house prices and friendly people. Loads of shops, resturants.

It's more laid back in the actual town than on the beach.

I can't wait until my next visit!!

    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 02/04/06
The cool sea winds after a hot sunny day the Vespa taking us to town a young boy waiting to become a young man nearly 15 years ago. That was me after an evening nap, dinner at 10pm and off to the discoteques at midnight. During the days we'd visit the cafe by the street side tour the ancient magnificent churches. At night dancing meeting ...

  • Lads weekend in Valencia
    By english200191, 11/22/05
Bought some cheap tickets to Valencia airport from the internet, so 5 of us lads decided to give the place the once over. I'd heard of the name 'valencia' but knew nothing about the place. We booked an apartment via the internet, not realising it was about 5km outside the city on the coast, so had to hire a car. No problem though as the ...

  • I fell in love with everything Valencian
    By frenchbelle1231, 11/15/05
I studied there in Spring 2003 and enjoyed it. I constantly got lost but didn't worry because I discovered different shops and sites. This is the most beautiful city I've ever seen. Everything about Valencia is great!!!!! I enjoyed the food, people, places and festivals. The sangria, paella and horchata are simply to die for. My only ...

  • 1 long weekend
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 11/05/05
We headed there for a weekend break to meet up with a friend who lived there, but found that our hotel was outside the city, Melia Don Jaime, which was under construction, so after 10am it was busy in the hotel with noise.
The river turned park was a delight and the only thing i really loved about the walk back from the city.
    Otherwise, found it ...
