Not totally fairThe review is a bit harsh. It has access to great beaches, excellent food, and it is not as crowded as places on the mediteranean side.
Like most smaller spanish towns it is totally safe for kids and family specially in the smaller outlaying villages (Punta Umbria).

A hidden paradiseThe review given is totally unfair. Maybe the city is not as beautiful as Sevilla or Granada, but the surroundings are spectacular.
Dozens of kilometers of golden beaches, with little urbanization and a few luxury hotels if you fancy. Many beaches still semi-virgin.
