  • Patios of Cordoba
    By Regalo, 03/22/06
In Spanish culture, the patio plays a major role in family and social life. Typical Spanish homes are U-shaped and the patios are located in the center of the home. The bedrooms and living room are on the first floor. Traditional patio features include a well or fountain, delicate arches, iron gates, pots full of flowers and gorgeous tilework. It ...

  • one of the most charming places in Spain
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/05
As if Spain needed any recommendation here homes one: Cordoba. A city you can sightsee in a day and yet you will feel like you don't want to leave. Make sure you enjoy some local restaurants with Flamenco dancing. The day is only part of the experience.

it was a great place to visit. we arrived in the middle of the night, somehow found a hotel room with the help of a delightful native, and awoke the next morning to find wonderful orange and lemon trees everywhere. • Must-see in Spain
    By tdogg, 07/25/05
Cordoba is a great city. The best way to get there is via the AVE from Madrid. It's a fantastic ride, about 1.5 hours from the plateau of Madrid to the green olive-grove hills of Andalucia. The Mezquita is simply amazing, one of the great wonders of the world. Hotels and restaurants are easy to find and high-quality.

  • La Mosquita - A must see
    By Michael, 07/25/05
Among the highlights of our trip to Andalucia was the visit to La Mosquita. It rates up there with the other 'major attractions' - the Alhambra, the Giralda, the Alcazar, Gibraltar, etc. We did not stay in Cordoba, electing instead to stay at a Paradore outside of Seville. We thought the area around La Mosquita was 'touristy' and ...
