Well, we landed in Alicante but I saw Cartagena. Cartagena, this beautiful port city. No one would know that it has such a rich historical and cultural heritage. It was fun to be there and walk around the city.

I like the beaches and the nightlife. It is a wonderful city for family vacations and for single people. Alicante has good theatres, museums, good food. If you go there you have to taste PAELLA. Paella is a typical plate.

Alicante is a great city that is small enough to know your way around any street, but big enough to also give you the "big city life". I lived in Alicante for four months, I would say that the warmer it is the nicer Alicante is. In the winter it is great because there are less tourists, where as in the summer it is flooded with tourists from around the world. Overall Alicante is a great get-away but only in certain seasons.
