Because I have written a much more detailed trip journal, I'll simply say that there is a lot to do at Tenerife, the expenses can be low if you stay out of the more upscale sections of the island, and the weather is great all year. Definitely see the Teide National Park, which is located near the large mountain in the center of the entire island. See my trip log (for BM14582) for more information and pictures.

I spent a week in Tenerife and it was paradise! I stayed at the Iberostar resort and the service was amazing. The locals were very nice and everything is affordable. I went to Playa de Las Americas last summer for two weeks and I just loved it! The clubs on Veronicas Strip are very much English dominated but the music is great and, if your into rap, these are definately the clubs for you! Also, Tramps and Rags are two other clubs off the strip which are more Irish and have great dancers and entertainment.

I love the island. I know it well. The weather is great, the geography is stunning and the people are friendly. I will continue to go back. Great place to hike.
