Russia's best kept secret!!Sochi is the a very interesting place! It has lot of Russian history and beauty ocean veiw! It is semi tropical! Yes there is "Palm Trees" in Russia! Sochi -surprisingly subtropical Russia.Sochi is a beautiful resort town located on the Black Sea coast. The climate is subtropical with a wrm sun and palm-trees all over the place. The atmosphere is calm and very good for families with children and with a lot of activities. Can't wait to go backI visited sochi on my pre-wedding honeymoon...and stayed at the Radison hotel. I was absolutely facinated by the charm and hospitality of the Russian people and their warmeth for an American English accent and the town and surrounding area was gorgeous...fruit stands and restaurants great and quite less expensive than Moscow....wish I could go every year

Trip to Souther Russia including SochiWe stayed at the "Pearl" Hotel which was nice. Make sure and get a room with air conditioning because not all of them have air conditioning. The hotel has an internet cafe and a private beach. It is easy and cheap to get a driver to take you to other near-by locations such as the mountians. Don't miss the botanical gardens.
