This house is in the heart of the Island, close to everything and at the same time hidden and very private. The views are breathtaking, the energy is envigorating. We stayed at villa palmyra while on vieques island. The views were incredible, it also had a lovely neighborhood beach, we walked around the area which is one of the nicest on the whole island! The staff provided us with tons of information that was so helpful: from restaurants, to beaches, to bars, even grocery store directions! Highly recommended if you decide to rent a home on Vieques.

I stopped in Vieques for an overnight trip just to see the Bioluminscent Bay. It's a small island and you are literally trapped on the island. One of my kids got an allergic reaction to the sun and I couldn't find a pharmacy that had benadryl in stock. The beach across from Bananas Guesthouse was beautiful but the beauty was taken away ...

stay at The Enchanted Garden,Violet the owner was great,just super person. She made sure you was enjoying the island. Her top ten picks of things to do was great. Any one going to Vieques must check out the Enchanted Garden for Accommodations,A great place for our family of 12 to stay. Do not rent a vehcile,use the Taxis systems they know the island and get you there faster. Make sure your cell-phone work in PR.

This is not your typical bustling "tourist trap." There is no McDonald's. No well-known, name-brand establishments. I don't even think there was a regular hotel there. You live, eat and shop with the locals.
