Black Hawk, Colorado is a mining town turned into a casino haven. Nestled in a rock valley along a winding river, it is beautiful. It is a drive from many other tourist destinations, but if you have time, it is worth the effort to visit. The entire town is made up of casinos and restaurants, and hotels. Plan to spend a full day visiting and gambling. Be sure to try some of the mountain foods on the menu in some places.
