olde worlde charmI found torun when a polish friend from the city took me to meet his family.What a place, it was one of only a handful of cities not bombed during war,so it still holds its medieval charm.The locals go out of their way to help you.Anyone who likes old world charm will relish the old part,churches,buildings,statues,my two favourites are the leaning ...2 of 2 Yahoo! Old & ModernI was there 5 day's. Toruń is not only a Medival City, is modern too.There you can visit many of Trade Centre's and restaurants.

Unforgettable town!!!After hours on bumpy roads I entered Torun at night crossing Wisla River Bridge and experiencing breathtaking and unforgettable view of XV century city. Experiencing first view of Torun, which caused us little accident my wife and I were ready to see what this town has to offer inside.

Get here if you can!Torun is not a likely place you would go if you are an American tourist like myself. I would highly recommend it if you can find your way there. You can fully experience Torun in two days, being sure to check out the views of Torun from the tower in the Town hall, taste some gingerbread (they have dozens of types at a store on ul. Very Cool Medieval CityVery Cool Medieval City
This place was great! And so Medieval! Pricier than other Polish cities but still a good vacation bargain. If you want breakfast I recommend Tu To in the main square. They have yummy omelets and fresh salads. Torun - in my memory...I have lived and studied in Torun. Spent there 7 wonderful years. Now I live in Warsaw nad miss Torun - its atmosphere, Gothic monumnets, friends I left there. Try Torun, go there and you'll share my opinion. Find our about Copernicus, medieval Old Town - part of UNESCO World Heritage List, great monuments. Oh God, it was so great there...
