Hospitable and courteous peopleThe excellent foods and easy access to shopping malls. The prices are affordable and reasonable. I love the chicken barbecues and lechon (charcoal roasted pig. Abundance of tropical fruits all year round. It is hot and humid but one can relax in an airconditioned places. There are 3 big malls in the city. I love this place.....Bacolod..is known as the City of Smiles...Its a highly urbanized city but you still can see lots of vacant lots..unlike Manila and Cebu...It has wide streets and everything is in place...its ok for shopping and the dining id very exquisite but affordable...Near the city are quite number of resorts from beaches to mountain resorts and lots of diving ...3 of 3 Yahoo! first time for my husbandMy husband can not wait to go back.He enjoyed
dipping in the sulfur bath in Mambucal and was very fascinated with the small flying bat
where he physically touched it.The Buenos Iris resort,standing on top of the mountain overlooking the guimaras and bacolod island.

Bacolod see you againI like the people with their everlasting smile. The best time to visit is all through the year but advisable from june to october. So far still the most livable city in the philippinesSome areas inside the city are undeveloped but it still is the cleanest city i've been to. The food is great and not very expensive. You can have better tasting coffee than Starbucks at Bob's for a fraction of the cost. The chicken barbecue is a must treat. And oh yes there is no traffic jam.
