Don't miss their guided toursPuno, as a city, is not that good. You should not get far from Plaza de Armas (Central Square), because some of the citizens are not so friendly. Food and drink are cheap, enjoy their night clubs (few, but good ones).
A good reason to go to Puno is their guided tours, specially to Sillustani and to Uro's Islands.

The good and the not so goodStayed just off the plaza de armas. Interesting dicotecas found close by. Dangerous though. I recall the door man at the club having to open the padlock with his key to let us in through the cell door. Many locals kept approaching us to find out why we were in puno.
