Like: There are extremely nice places to visit in the province of Colon: Porto Bello, Isla Grande, San Lorenzo fortress, Gatun locks (the biggest locks of the Panama Canal).
Dislike: The City of Colon downtown area is not very safe for visitors and there is still a lot to do before it becomes safe and clean.

Overall Panama is a wonderful country to spend holidays. However even with my quite large travel experience in Latin America I was shocked by Colon and think it's really, really dangerous. By all means, visit Panama but stay out of Colon!

Panama is a very nice place to visit you just have to make sure you go everywhere. Not only the city but the island and other country parts. The island is beautiful and you can purchase a lot of things at very good prices. Especially the gold there!

I will say that Colon, Panama is a very beautiful place. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.
