being posted at salalah since 2005, i have drive to muscat 8 times. the only negative thing that comes to my mind is the conditions of the wash rooms at each any every halt point. be it quitbit, haima, ghaba, adam - the story is the same. as a matter of fact i have driven twice to dubai from salalah - the wash room story is really pathetic. ...

the road from muscat to Salalah consists of various dangerous obstacles such as no street lights at all,no cat eyes,danger of camels appearing on the road ,two way dual -track (narrow)roads,no precaution sign boards and unmaintained roads.
On an average 200 accidents per week,along with approx. 200 deaths p.m. due to road accidents.

This was one of the gems of the Middle East. The family who found nothing to do should stick to Disneyland as they are the curse of places of real culture like Salalah. For those of you who want to see a culture that has existed for thousands of years this is the place to go to. Visit Job's Tomb and the exquisite mountain scenery. Walk the white sands and visit the markets with their sights and smells. Taste the Mangoes!!!

what are you taking about? all those natural wonders of nature and your telling me there is nothing to do there , i went with my friend this summer and it was the best trip we ever had , the nature here is better than the best european contrys and the weather in the summer is unbelivable , i will go next summer too
