Would love to come back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/07/08
Granada is a small, safe and laid back place to visit. I’ve visited this town twice the last year. Last, on my way down to Costa Rica to visit their beaches. Calzada Street is full of eateries and bars that any European or American can appreciate if they have visited near by Costa Rica’s Jaco, Tamarindo beach or Hermosa. There is a ...

We love it here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/22/07
We go once or twice a year to Granada. The people are great, food great, and beautiful achitecture. We stay at Casa San Francisco, owned by former Americans. See the volcano, the islands, Lago de Appoyo. You are close to Masaya and San Juan de Oriente, the pottery capital. You'll keep going back!

NICARAGUA SUMMER EXCHANGE: Teens' summer in Nicaragua
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/28/07
Granada, Nicaragua is an incredbily beautiful town. If you are looking to send a teenager on a summer program to Nicaragua-i strongly advise that you do not send them on Nicaragua Summer Exchange (a programme based out of Madison, WI). I attended this program and although the town had much to offer, I felt that the directors strongly interfered ...

Hotel El Club is a great place to stay. The owners Marco and Ellen are wonderful and the staff is is very friendly. The owners are Dutch, but will host anyone. Definitely worth staying at, or at least for drinks and dinner. We highly recommend it.

Best hidden restaurants
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/26/06
Granada, is my wife's hometown, very friendly and historic, very easy to explore and relax. Many foreigners are buying up the properties around the plaza, so the restaurants tend to be pricey, and lack the authenticity of local ownership and history. If your not afraid to speak a little Spanish and like excellent local food, ask a taxi to take ...
Granada is one of Nicaragua's best kept secret. The people are friendly, the town is being rebuilt by foriegn and local investors. Its a great place to retire or start a new business.I just bought a place there. The city has a charm like no other. As for the smart shopper in real estate, this place is about to explode, you can still get in while ...

Best Restaurant in town!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/05
El Tercer Ojo located on Calle Arsenal right next to El Convento de San Francisco. The owners are French and Costa Rican respectively, they are wonderful people who have lived and worked in several countries. They have created a unique ambiance with exceptional food that will satisfy the most discerning palate. They also have imported foods and various products for sale in their "Deli" section which is very welcome.
