Stayed at the Scarborough Lodge in Hanmer Springs.
It was the best place I have stayed in the South Island.
It is a private house with two attacted rooms for rent so the quality is better than 5 stars.
It had a double spa bath with a king sized bed.
Just 3 minutes walk to the thermal pools.
