Culture wrapped in a neat packageLast March I visited Maastricht again while attending the TEFAF (The European Fine Art Fair). The fair itself was very nice and the city itself, which I never really explored before during my previous visits to the city while stying there for the TEFAF, really surprised me.

My Second HomeMaastricht! Ahh, the architecture, the friendly people, the openess, the caves, the greenery, the river, the shopping, the walking, the frittes, the FOOD, the shopping, the university, the safety-- this city has it all! Maastricht, a beautiful city steeped in history.Maastricht is a truly beautiful city where you are surrounded by history on ever corner. Roaming through the center, you see extremely old churches and buildings. Walking along the river front, you can easily pop into one of the many winding, little streets.

Everybody should see this city.This is a place where you do not get bored. Within 15 min. you are in Germany within 10 min. you are in Belgium. Almost everybody speaks english. They have a lot of culture.

A fairy tale dreamI spent a college semester in Maastricht in 2001. The city is like something out of a fairy tale. The cobbled streets wind through gorgeous buildings; there are layers upon layers of history. It's an ideal city for walking; the sights, sounds and smells are very stimulating for the senses. fun, close, welcomingMaastricht is great. our plans for going to Amsterdam fell through, so we instead drove to Maastricht, from Koeln.
it is very close to Germany and Luxembourg, offers lots of places to shop downtown, and the people are very friendly.

Awesome timeA friend and I went to Maastricht last week. We had a wonderful time, everyone spoke English,everyone was friendly and helpful! The cafes were clean and friendly and nicely priced.. Wonderful Maastricht!!I spent a semester abroad in Maastricht. It is such a beautiful and fun city to be in! I love it so much that I want to move there someday.
