The people, oh my word, i've never met such friendly and lively people in my life, they know how to live life and of course there's Coconut, wow wow wow, i danced until the morning, that's how good the music and the vibe was.

I was pleasantly suprised by the night life there...the clubs were kicking especially the Coconut club....and the women beautiful...cant speak a word of English but who cares...the language of love they understand well

Maputo is a buzzing city with the most racially integrated population you will probably encounter, ever. If you are treated with a blank stare, remember the population speaks a fusion Portuguese so learn a little before you arrive and after that sign language will be accepted with a grin. Maputo is about architecture, history and music. Live music ...

What a wonderful place! Steeped in history, incredibly vibey, great night life, live jazz and fabulous food. Maputo is all of these, and I would definitely recommend it for a day or two before travelling to the beaches. Check out the old fort, the "casa de ferro", the old railway station and the Natural History museum if you like ...

Maputo is still rebuilding so I guess if you are looking for a 5 star holiday like going to the Hawai you will not find it. It is all still very unspoiled and unwesternised. Thanks GOD for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!
