Loved the old town with its Indiana Jones-style souks. Sometimes dirty and smelly (especially if near the tannery or the various butchers!) but adds to the character.

Disliked the pickpockets - twice found foreign fingers in our pockets! Each time, to our surprise, they were not little kids but innocent-looking old ladies in veils. Watch out!

Marrakech is the city of my dreams. Snowy Atlas in the back, date palms all around, red painted buildings w/ a typical architecture.. women wearing djellabas on a moto bike.. A really thrilling place for someone coming from the plain standardized-M
all-like US..

I love Marrakech! I will come back and bring friends too.
