I went to Marrakech last week, I stayed in the Sangho Privilege hotel which is about 12 kilometers outside the centre.

It is a great hotel, a lot of animation, there is always something to do.

The people are very friendly, the food is delicious and there is so much to do and see.

I really loved it and I am going back in December!

1. Djema Elfna the square around the souk-go at night and try all the food stalls. #14 is the only stall run by a woman and Routard rated.
2. the souk-for barganning aim to pay about half of the first price given but keep in mind how cheap things are and how hard it is to make a living there!

Funky cold medina! There are a lot of cool restaurants, night clubs...and during the day, the place is super exotic...can't wait to go back!

One of the best places in the world. The food is absolutely AMAZING!!! We promised ourselves we would return and rent a Riad for an extended trip for a couple of months....as soon as possible!

I was in Marakesh in Feb 05 to March 05 and it was a like a sensory overload type experience.

I stayed at the Hotel Ichbilia that is right near the square on one of Djemmas main arteries.

This is the best area to stay in or you can find a nice and cheap hotel right in the square itself. I used the Lonely Planet guide as a reference.
