My husband and traveled here for 4 days in August of 2005. There was outdoor music in the evening, and beautiful sunsets. The shopping is great, and reasonably priced... not the hard bartering like Marrakech. Many people went out of their way to help us, direct us to their favorite restaurant. You can buy fresh fish on the sea wall and they will cook it right up for you... Cheap! Laid back and relaxing, a great vacation spot!

I was born in casablanca morocco. I used to spend all my weekends at essaouira. I love the beach, the old city, and many more nice things to see.
The food is very cheap, the city is one of the safest in morocco.
