  • Volcanos and VW's
    By Psychomom, 10/23/06
Puebla, home to the VW Bug factory and the Popocatepetl Volcano. Unfortunately the weather was overcast and we did not see the volcanos but the drive from Mexico City was scenic and Puebla is quite beautiful. We arrived in the town square and headed to the Magnificent Cathedral. Now when they say Magnificent they really mean it. Everything ...

  • explore the beauty
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/17/06
I couldn't even put my camera away-- I took pictures of everything and around every corner! The tiles are beautiful, yes, but also the doorways and windows because they are so colorful and ornate. Don't forget to eat molé poblano and some camotés! I would like to go back! The atmosphere is wonderful and I felt very safe as a young female traveler alone.

  • I want to live there
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/11/06
I love Puebla because my husband's family is from there and they are loving and sure know how to cook.
The food in Puebla has to be the best food in Mexico.
The city is rich in diversity yet there are large pockets of indigenous people who have not mixed with European blood and live in the ways of older cultures.
And did I mention the food.
A great value as the dollars trade for pesos in favor of the dollar.

  • Puebla---not to be missed
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/07/05
Puebla can be a day trip from Mexico City; leaving Mexico City, you see rolling farm lands as the scenery changes. The city of Puebla, reputed to have more churches than any city in Mexico, is rich in history and culture. The Church of Sto. Domingo Guzman is a highlight; the gold in the side chapels is amazing. Hidden covent/museums, the ...
