the lobster house has some really bad cooks,,ordered a steak sent it bk twice,,not fit to eat,,2 other people at our table had food way over cooked,,,stay away picante boat trip was ok,,the bus trip was a joke,,they took the biggest bus they could find got the worst driver and took it down streets that were designed for ox carts,,,,did sunset cruise,,got on bus and 25 people had to use the can,,dr was locked and was told toilet was broke,,,

The Ixtapa beaches are great and the place is real laid back and peaceful. Just avoid the Tesoro Hotel. The place is pitiful. their employees act life they're doing you a favor. Pitiful!

I loved Ixtapa. The beaches are beautiful and the atmosphere in Ixtapa is very relaxing. The people are very friendly and unlike Cancun it is not a Mexican version of South Beach, Florida. Zihuatenejo is a great place to feel the culture of Mexico. Even the police were nice [I took a picture with one :-)].

Don't get me wrong, Ixtapa is beautiful. But it is not a place to bring you kids. There are not many placed to go. The beaches are great. The sand is nice and soft.
Make sure to get up early, if you look out to the ocean you will sometimes see dolphins!
A must on this trip is Isla Ixtapa. Some of the most breath taking snorkling in mexico.

Ixtapa offers everything other resorts do for less money. The Krystal Hotel was wonderful. Going in late June is a good time. It's a great place for those who are single, honeymooning, or with family. The local restaurants are great and so are the local shops.
