Ensenada is a great place. Downtown is clean, safe, and very friendly. The bars are awesome, just about everyone speaks English. There are plenty of great street taco stands that are so tasty and cheap, especially after a long day/night of drinking. They stay open late, so you will never be hungry. You can easily be full by paying less than 5 bucks ...

Ensenada is a wonderful place! It avoids all most of the tackiness that you find in Tijuana. It's cheaper, safer, and cleaner than Tijuana too. The ocean tempertature is great, and it has good waves for surfing.
I love going to the little taco stands for some great food. The key to finding the best exchange rate is to go where the taxi drivers go. They get the most for thier dollar to peso conversion and if you follow them, you will too.

Talk about being scared..this place is scary! Don't even trust the police, they can be worse than the people.
