We LOVED Martinique! Thought it was lovely. It has a different vibe than most of the Caribbean islands- a bit more refined in some ways. It was horrifyingly expensive, however.

The ambience was beautiful and the people were so friendly. Very beautiful area but the five-star hotel where we stayed would not be considered five-star here in the states. All in all I had a good time and would consider going back if not for the luxury but for the ambience
