It is a great place to be, you'll enjoy spending the weekend in Melaka because of all the interesting places to visits. The UNESCO World Heritage Sites consist of civic, and comercial and residential zones. At present there are more than 14 themed museums in the city. Visit the living heritage of Heeren St., Jonker Sreet, Lorong Hang Jebat and much more. It will be a trip well spent.
I went to Malacca in few day past. I went to the city center, and wow a brand new Revolving Tower just like at Sentosa Island (Sg). Last time I was here there is no Dataran Pahlawan Megamall just an uncompleted working site. No Carrefour, No Padini Concept and No Brands Outlet, n yet even No Big Apple Donuts here in the past few year, but look like Melaka has been develop rapidly in this few year of time.

I went to Melaka for a couple of days since I was staying with friends in Singapore and a I had 2 days free (it's 4 hours by bus). I stayed at the Hotel Puri in Chinatown which I thoroughly recommend. It's an old paranakan house, with a beautiful lobby which has bats nesting there. The town is rather compact, Chinatown being the nicest ...

In the city, the bus service are not in schedule. You will not see any taxis very often, and remember you must ask for fare before you get on a taxi.
However, Melaka is still ...

Malacca is one of the great places to go in Southeast Asia because of its history and the effects that history has had on the city.
You have a melting pot with influences from the Dutch, Portuguese, English, Chinese, Arabs, Indians and Malay that shows their marks throughout the city and its culture. One of the outcomes of this diverse history ...

Melaka is a small but facinating historic city with lots to do and see. You can see all of the sights on foot. We used a rickshaw once, but otherwise we hoofed it.
We stayed 3 days and visited: - Chinatown - Has lots of charming small streets with fading colonial buildings (most of the facades date back to 1939). - Gluttons Corner - ...
