I agree that Skopje is nice city (I live there), but I am so dissapointed that my birth town is not mentioned.It is Bitola.Perhaps people should go there visit Pelister and they will know what I am talking about.

It is place you can only dream about.There is everything for everyone.Simply it is the heaven on the earth.So people go there and see it for yourself.I mean the culture, the music,the tradition is wonderful and the people are great too.

Skopje is great city and I recomend it to everyone who would like to see history, culture, art... on one place. Great place to visit in summer

Friendly people, good night life, historic places...Skopje is beautifle in summer, many coffe bars are open out side. Vodno is very good for hiking every time in the year. Fortresess Kale is from 6 century and is grate think to visite, also old monostirs and great traditional food and wine.

Such a warm city, with such pleasent people, always ready to help, and the best part is that almost everyone knows english so communication is very easy. Great Great Great

I was surprised to see a very vivid techno scene in Skopje. While I was in Macedonia Tiesto, Roger Sancez, Daren Emerson, Carl Cox and many many more had their sets, as well as dance stars Faithless, Thievory Corporation, GusGus, Moloko, Massive Attack etc. The night life is awesome. Lot's of caffee's, diners, the shops aren't ...

It's not the cleanest, most convienant or even safest place, but there are some beautiful sites. There are mosks everywhere that are some of the prettiest structures you'll see. The hostory still shows through the ongoing battles, but the people are well adapted, but they still have to fight for their beliefs. It definitly has history!
