A pearl on the BalcanAs i make my way thowards a cab parked on the curbside of the st.Peter airport in Ohrid tired from the flight im amazed by the light of this place but i dont want to jump my gun just yet guided by my western fears and bogie man stories.I get in to the cab and try to explain to the driver where he needs to take me.He looks at me starts laughing and ...Was this review helpful? Tumbs up for OhridFantastic place for both relaxation and partyiing.For young people or old people.The food is fantastic & not expensive the people are very kind and generous.You will not be bored in Ohrid.

Cozy!!!!!The lake, the mountains, the churches and the beaches. Don't get me started on the night life. You go from club to club or you just sit at a cafe listening to music. All day long the "charshia" is full of people. The village of Pestani is like Paris.It's right on the lake and everything you need is within walking distance. Heaven on earth ......I live here ..... search many places and search more interesting cultures .... but I cant live without my Ohrid ... hmmmm there is something different in it ..... some different spiritual moment, peace where I cant found on other place .... like my little heaven on this world .... just come see, touch, feel, experience. Next chance I get-I'm thereOhrid is so beautifull, fun, and relaxing, it's incredible!!! I absolutelly love the beaches, the clean air and the nice people. But my favourite thing is the NIGHTLIFE. Have you known heaven?If not then Ohrid is your place. I spent 2 amazing weeks there, being treated as a king, by the local people. I am not sure that I have ever visited a place on the earth with such warm and kind people. Allways ready to help and give you a hand at what ever you need. Not to talk about the ancient lake, with all its places to be visited. Ah yes dont forget to take the night boat and have a great party in the lake.Was this review helpful?
