Recently, we visited the city of Luxembourg and were extremely impressed. Not only is the city lovely with its' drastic hills and valleys, but the people were very friendly.

I was amazed at how polylingual that most people were. While standing in line at a department store, I heard the cashier speak no less than 4 languages in a timespan ...

What a gorgeous place.The country sides are absolutely stunning and the people are friendly.Visited there on more than 3 occasions.The lifestyle there is good and its a great place to work (I did not work there, but know a lot of people who do). Quality life style. Lovely places to see. You don't need much time there as its a small place, but once you're there, you'll fall in love with it forever.

Great small country!!!! If you visit Luxemburg you will never be dissapointed.Places,people and atmosphere are changing you mood no matter how grumpy and fuzzy you are.Please visit Luxemburg Ville,Clervaux,Vianden and all the castels. Please breath the fresh air of country side and smile to Luxemburg people if they smile to you.:)))

It is well worth to visit the Hamm American Military WW2 cemetery. General Patton is buried there at the head of his troups. General Patton requested it, after he died due to a car accident in Heidelberg/Germany.
Hamm is just a few miles outside Luxembourg City, East. There is an American Information Office at the cemetery. On Memorial Day concerts, fly-overs, etc. take place to honor the fallen.

Small country, small capital but very peaceful and beautiful!
You should take on a tour of the city.

Luxembourg is no doubt a beautiful city. The architecture is great and the parks are plentiful. We had a nice time there, but one day was plenty. The place is a bit too sterile for our tastes. The shopping and bar scene downtown were sparse and the streets rolled up at 6:00. It doesn't seem like anyone lives in the old, scenic part of the city. It was more of a Disneyesque attraction to be toured rather than experienced.

I did not take enough time to soak in the city. I was impressed on how clean and safe
it was,no "slum" areas. I only spent three
hours there as i took a train from Brussels.
I would definely go back!I loved the train station clock tower,classic europe!

Traveling thru the Benelux countries can be quite monotonus.The three small countries begin to resemble each other and the somber, sober staid and cities become rather unexiting. S for fun we decided on an impromtu picnic while driving in our blue Fiat.In one twon we went into a boulangerie for bread,went to a fromagerie for cheese and a patisserie ...

Had a great time... My family didn't argue once while we were there we all got along and was a great overall experience
