Absolute anarchy! no traffic lights massive traffic Jams and the rudest drivers on earth. Too dangerous even in peace time, while some places are clean, most are littered with trash and filth. If it was not for few remaining family menbers there, I would never care to see it again!

You may want to consider not driving too much in Beirut just walk around and enjoy the ARCHITECTURE, CAFE's, FOOD, SHOPPING, CULTURE

I have visited lebanon four times and going this summer...Summers are never to be missed!!! I live in LA, CA...I will tell you this neither LA nor NY nor miami don't hold a candle to lebanon..

Beirut and Lebanon in general is a beautiful place to vacation. The food is amazing, the people are very kind and helpful, and the sights and beaches are to die for. On our first trip to Beirut, my daughter who was born and raised in the US said, "Mom, forget America, lets just stay here."

Lebanon is like visiting a hundred wondrful places at the same time. Everything from ultra-modern Beirut to 7000 year old Byblos is within a few hours drive.
