Come to Riga to see the Architecture and food restaurants.
Things not do is go to Old town at night. It is full of scam bars. They should be closed down. Latvians only would give the place a positive review.
Stay away from this place and treat yourself a holiday in an African instead..

Liked the size of the city, the weather - very hot at beginning of June, Jurmala at the beach, price of train tickets and most restaurants and cafes. Great food, nice people, amazing atmosphere! I’m definitely going back! It only takes time to realize that Riga has no similarities to any other cities in Europe.. Taste is individual of course but I have to say that only close minded people can’t see the beauty of it!

well there wasn't much to like about the place except the beer was cheap. i went out there for a friends stag weekend and we didnt recieve a very nice welcome. and to top it off on the first nite we was there my friend wlked into a bar and a load of the locals locked the bar doors and repeatdely kicked him in the face and the police joined in to. the locals didnt seem to like us brits that much as we was chucked out of our hotel a hour early.

The Old City is a great place to visit, especially if you really enjoy historical places. The churches are beautiful and the museums are plentiful.
