Very interesting place but pretty basic. A bit like going back in time 10 years i.e.not modern and affluent like Riga. Nice people but noone could speak English except in the new hotel which is good. You wont get any sleep Friday,Saturday because of the night club noise. Whichever floor you are on!

i love that place...the best in the whole world .... i 've been in USA for 7 months and i can't wait to go back=) everyone should visit Daugavpils...unique nature, a lot of historically signifficant places=) just go and visit!!!

I love the people here! They are all so warm and welcoming...it really makes you appreciate hospitality. The hostel we stayed at was incredibly basic, but the only thing that bugged me was the lack of safety, but we managed a month there without incident, so it was alright!
