Okayama is great no matter what your interests are.
If you like history visit the beautiful rebuilt Okayama-jo castle or visit Kurashiki just minutes away by train to walk through an area full of Historical buildings, and lot's of great museums. Tons of shopping, and great places to eat. If you like nature you can find some beautiful views ...

Japanese are very happy to help you and most do speak a little English. I enjoy this part of Japan because there is much to see and do. Do take a drive to the country. It is truely "To die for".
