One of the best places I have been in Japan is Hakone.
It is located near Tokyo.　It takes 1 hour to Hakone from Tokyo. Also you can take on the limited express. The express has a cab on the second floor, so you 're able to seat the head of the express.
There is a lake, called Asino-lake. You can ride the cabin cruiser like a ...

• Boiled Black Eggs
By Reina, 06/16/07
If you want to try to eat wonder boiled black eggs in Japan, you should go to Oowakudani in Hakone. You can see and smell sulfur smoke there.
In Japan, we believe that if we eat one biled black egg,we can live 7 more years. If we eat two, we can live 14 more years.
So that is kind of healthy food for longevity.I don't know the truth.

• Peace in the Mountains
By dug, 01/04/07
Hakone and Moto-Hakone are located a couple of hours outside of Tokyo (depending on where you are staying and your form of transportation to the area).

For those who desire a mixture of cultural things and nature, this is the place for you. Stunning views of Mt. Fuji, beautiful mountains, small local places to eat, great walks through thousand ...

• Hakone - a good place for you
By fetboy81, 09/23/06
This is an idea place for you to relax at weekend. You can see Fuji-san, the highest mountain of Japan, in sunny days. In autumn, there are many beautiful "momiji" (red leaves). You also have chance to eat black egges (boiled by hot natural water), very tasty.

• Definetly more than a day trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/23/06
If you are visiting Hakone from Tokyo and plan on taking the trains, go very early and plan on staying the night. If you take a bullet train you might get away with making this a day trip, however if you are even thinking about saving yen, then for get about it. The train ride itself will take half the day. AND unless your very familiar with the ...

• Mysterious Hakone
By Brien, 03/09/06
Hidden mountain shrines, historic villages, enduring local culture, and of course
heavenly Onsen is just the tip of what Hakone has presented to road weary
travelers forthe last 3000 years.

So close to Tokyo yet worlds apart due to barrier mountains that reach to the sky
on all sides. From the apex of these ridges inspired glimpses of the ...
