I love Montego Bay, Jamaica. I've never had a problem with the locals. I've made some great friends and each time I go we hang out. I've taken family members and friends and all have a great time. People should take the time and learn about the island before going. Jamaicans are wonderful people and of course, they have bad people just like every other place in the world. Jamaica is beautiful and I can't get enough of it.

We stopped at montego bay on our cruise. I made the mistake of getting off of the ship. I still would'nt have felt safe if i had been carrying an assault rifle and wearing a bullet proof vest. If you feel like going to this port, try walking through downtown compton instead.. imagine the same scenery only alot cheaper.

I liked the beaches, the food, the service. Overall it was a great experience, the party scene is great 2, and there is a good selection of resorts. The city itself like anywhere else in the world, could be better but there are other great towns like Ocho Rios, Treasure Beach etc. that I have heard about, in terms of the stay though, I had a good time, and everything was as expected!
