I have spent quite a bit of time over the years in Bangladesh visiting places including Chittagong, Khulna, Selat, Dhaka, Cox's Bazaar and even some time in the hill tracts. Best organized city in Bangladesh
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/14/06
Its clean, well organized, fine hotel accomodation, less traffic than other city of bangladesh, you can see the largest mangrove forest of the world.
I dislike the communication system exactly saying it needs a airport.
There are two good hotels in Khulna, Hotel Royal and Castel Salam. You can stay here and visit nearby largest mangrove forest, The Sundarban. There are some historic mosques nearby as well. The hotel has arrangement for food. This region also produces good quality shrimp. Weather of this area is moderate.
