  • The Building Site
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/02/05
Having read reviews and seen pictures of Turin we were really expectant of a great time on our holiday. Unfortunately, due to the Winter Olympics Turin is currently a building site. If you want good photos...forget it. If you want to enjoy the ambiance of the city...forget it. If you want to drive anywhere...forget it. The city is currently in ...

  • I can't wait to return
    By apple, 09/19/05
I lived for nine months in Turin, Italy and I have to say that the city really grew on me. It is the host city of the winter olympics in 2006 and the city deserves it. • a great under-rated city
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/15/05
Torino is a fantastic city, with great historic sites, fabulous food, and interesting people. The downtown is very pleasant, the chocolate and ice cream are some of the best in the world, and it's a stone's throw from the Alps.

  • Turin?...a city after my own heart...
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/18/05
"Do you know Turin?" asked Nietzsche. "It is a city after my own heart... a princely residence of the seventeenth century, which has only one taste giving commands to everything, the court and its nobility. Aristocratic calm is preserved in everything; there are no nasty suburbs."
And more recently, by great world knwon author ...
