Waterford is small and interesting and you really only need to spend one full day to see everything.
The Waterford Crystal is the main attraction and is well worth a visit.
A walking tour around the city with a gude was great.

I went to Waterford mainly to go to the crystal factory. The tour was facinating and seeing the Time's Square New Years Ball up close and personal all lit up was amazing. The area and the surrounding towns are quaint and full of hospitable and friendly people. My trip to Ireland on whole was a memorable one and I look forward to returning again.

The city is small but it has everything you need. Restaurants, Cinema, nightlife etc. There are cool shops and the people are friendly. Visit in the summer if possible.

We stayed in Waterford Castle, a lovely hotel, but a bit cold, considering that it's a castle...
We had to cross a drawbridge to enter the town from our hotel, but it was fine.
The town is nice but a bit narrow and hectic-seeming. Walk along the waterfront.
The food was great.
I prefer the west coast.

From the moment we stepped inside the door, we were treated like visiting royalty.
