Drive around the Ring of Kerry, but it will take you more than just a day. So, you either go back or plan to do an overnight at a local B&B. Check with the tourist board for the better ratings and deals, then call ahead, especially in summer when rooms book quickly. The areas of Bantry Bay, Dingle and Tralee are so beautiful. Charming

A very charming, quaint town. Drive through and stop to see the small, thatched-roofed cottages and buy a mohair blanket in the small wool shops. The people are nice, as always, and this town is authentically irish. Don't miss it.
We spent one whole day doing Rick Steves drive along the Dingle Peninsula, out to Slea Head and the Blasket Island information center ( which was very interesting). Slea Head was amazing (rent the movie Ryan's Daughter and it'll give you an idea of the wild, sureal feeling of the area). Stayed at Benners Hotel which is very nice - a ...

Highlight of my Irish Holiday!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/08/05
The Dingle peninsula was by far the highlight of my Irish Holiday! We followed a Rick Steve's self tour guide around the peninsula and took in the awe-inspiring scenery and ruins all along the drive. Loved it!
The Dingle Peninsula is absolutley amazing! Dont waste your time on the ring of Kerry, usually it is foggy and you can't see anything. The Dingle Peninsula is just as beautiful, I got some amazing photo's. I would go back in a heartbeat!
