  • Our second visit
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/19/05
We first visited in 1998 and just returned from second visit to Clifden. Terrific B&B (Buttermilk Lodge), good shopping, good food (much better this time than last since new, top-notch eateries have opened), good entertainment (make sure you grab a spot in one of the pubs for the live music).

  • Great Place to Eat and Surf!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/15/05
The Two Dog Cafe on Church Street in Clifden is a real find. They have great, all home-made food, soups, and cakes, with the best Illy Italian coffees. Upstairs is a groovy Internet Lounge with broadband connection, and two phone booths offer cheap rate international phone calls. The owners are extremely friendly, the atmosphere is hip, and it is probably the best place to eat and relax in all of Clifden. Check it out if you go there!!
