Vijayawada is a fine city with good connections by train and bus. It has only one flight a day from Hyderabad but I believe a second flight will begin in 2006.
The best place to stay in town is the D.V. Manor hotel. It is rated 4 stars and deserves the rating. (I have stayed there on 3 trips). The hotel restaurant has a buffet meal each day ...
