I've been to Trivandrum last year. Visiting beaches an' historic places was great. I was in Technopark too. I never imagined India could have such talented people up there, though the roads that led to the place did not give a nice image to a wonderful place.

very cool place and many things to enjoy and see. Street roads are narrow. traffic rules are seldom followed. peoples are friendly and safe. Very interseting information about music, arts and culture can be gathered especially if you visit the place in the festival season during august-december.

Trivandrum is a good place to be; calm and serenic. But beware of being on the roads. In India and especially in this part, road rules are seldom followed. The streets are narrow and not maintained properly. Here overtaking on roads seems to be a right, not a privelage. Overtaking vehicles from the opposite side can force you down the road. The pedestrians also enjoy walking along the middle of the road.

Trivandrum is a historical city, enjoyed going to Kovalam beach and Ponmudi. pros: People are friendly and you can easily converse in English, much more than any other city in India. cons: Roads, except the Palace Road are very narrow; beware of getting into taxis and autorikshaws - they can exploit you if you are not careful; too much protest marches on the streets on most days. Good to visit between June and February.
